Oh Lord the Pressure

Oh lord the pressure is on. I am sitting on the coach at the Peace Corps flop house in Tana watching a movie, I have been in and out of the city for a week and I am leaving in the morning and I have yet to post anything to the internet thus I am feeling a lot of pressure to produce something fabulous and amusing to put on the internet while watching this really horrible movie. Actually lets take a rain check on this. I'll watch the movie and then write something really amazing and witty. But for now I am going to watch this. I'll be back before you have even noticed that I am gone.   See you didn't even notice that I was gone for the entire length of a really bad teenage movie, did you? Unfortunately the teenage movie didn't help my motivation so I do not think this blog entry is going to be very exciting. Here goes with a couple of updates and then I am going to run off to bed. Yes I am that boring.   Mbola and I are doing well, we came into town last week to get him a passport and go to my friend Melissa's site to do an SRI training, now I am headed back to site with the Peace Corps doctor who is coming out to check and make sure everything is safe and healthy. Mbola is staying in the city for a couple more days to go to the dentist and hang out with his cousins.   After a couple of weeks at site I will be headed to Tamatave to help with the Bike race. It will be interesting to see how things go this year as there are a lot of problems with funding and cooperation from the Malagasy counterparts. There has also been a lot of frustration among PCVs as Peace Corps has not been very helpful this year, for instance they scheduled some essential conferences right before and during the bike race thus making it impossible for a large number of the health PCVs to attend. But we will make it a success no matter what, maybe the bike race itself wont be as big an event as it was last year but we will still do our best to carry out the education and testing which is the most important part of the week.   Then it will be back to site where I am going to continue to bang my head against the brick wall that is my village before coming back to Tana to pick up my mom and stepdad from the airport. I am so excited to see them, it is going to be fabulous, but first we have to figure out the trip plan. We will be having our girls camp while they are here. I'll let you know how it goes. It should be fantastic. But for now I am going to go crash into my flea infested bunk bed before I crash into this keyboard.
