		<description>Hi Amy,
Glad to hear you are working on a project. Mary and I have been in our village for the last two months. Quite diffferent from training. We are what is called Village Based Development which means we are dropped into some village and then figure out what to do next. This is really an ambiguos assignment, but we love ambiguity.
Mary is currently in the hospital. She has been there for four days with a serious blood infection. Unknown source. Unknown bacteria. She probably will off her feet for quite a while. They just pump her with antibotics and IVs. As you know getting seriously ill can be an adventure itself in the Peace Corps. The best part she is getting food she can swallow. Mary is having a tough time with Samoan cuisine.
Sounds like you are into Peace Corps full swing now. For me, I am already having trouble about returning home.
Best to you.
